Welcome To Future FTA Receivers World

Welcome to Future FTA Receivers World - We are glad that you stopped by to visit our home on the web. We are going to discuss FTA. What is FTA you ask? Read on. We’ll get into the thick of it soon. We’ll explain some of the basics that you will need for one of your own systems. We’ll also talk about some of the reasons you would want or need one for your home.

FTA is an acronym which stands for Free-To-Air. It is a way to receive free digital satellite broadcast singles using a dish and appropriate receiver. One question that we are frequently asked is FTA legal. The answer is a resounding yes. The only way that one could make it illegal is to hack the system to steal programming. We do not promote this type of theft. Buying, owning and using FTA receivers is completely legal. That being said you might be asking which kind of receiver should I buy. There are certainly more models than we would like to go in to here, but we will give you a few that standout such as Viewsat, Sonicveiw, Conaxsat, Pansat, Coolsat, and Nufision. Each one of these companies will have numerous models themselves. Conaxsat has around four models which include the Nano, Mini, Duo, Trio and are soon to release an HD model soon. All of these units are great with some different bells and whistles, and are easy to use and start receiving free TV.

We would now like to tell you what equipment you will need. First you will need to purchase a FTA receiver. We have already explained that there are many types to choose from shopping around and researching is the best way to insure that you get the model that you want. Next you will need a satellite dish. These range in price from 50 to 400 dollars. We have installed a dish with a motor to insure that we will be able to pick up all the birds (satellites in the sky).
However there are dishes with four to six LNBs (low noise blocker). These are the horns at the end of the dish that convert the signal to vhf. Also one other note. If you want HD programming you do not need to purchase a special dish. You will need a HD receiver. These are about twice as much as a normal one.

Once you have the dish and FTA receiver you will need to run coaxial cable from the dish to the receiver. Make sure not to go over a hundred feet otherwise you may need to get a signal booster to make up for the length of the cable. Also be sure not to have obstructions such as trees and sheds and houses in the way of your dish.

There are several benefits to FTA. One of the benefits is that with the future FTA models, as well as the ones currently on the market, you should get much more programming than what you have already. If you live in a rural area and you can only pick a few single with a normal antenna then you will be amazed at the entertainment value that you can get with a couple of hundred bucks. Once you have made the initial investment you will not have to pay a monthly charge unless you want to subscribe to one of the satellite programming providers.

Now you have a general understanding of what future FTA receivers are all about. What you will need and how to set it up. Also you should see the enormous benefits to being part of the Future FTA Receivers World.
